Three Tempting Tipples Your Mother Can Enjoy This Sunday
The decadent flavour of our award-winning British Cassis has been refined for over a hundred years, making it the perfect partner for a cocktail or a dessert.
These are three impressive recipes to treat your mum to this Mothers’ Day.
THE CRUMBLE
PUDDING IN A COCKTAIL
Serves 2
· 100ml Gin
· 50ml British Cassis
· 200ml Cloudy Apple Juice
· Sliced, Fresh Ginger
Mix together the gin, cassis, apple juice and a slice of fresh ginger in a cocktail shaker of crushed ice. Pour into a tall glass decorated with another ginger slice. Sip and savour.
BACKCURRANT MOJITO
A FRUITY TWIST
Serves 2
· 100ml White rum
· 50ml British Cassis
· 50ml Lime Juice
· 2tsp Soft Brown Sugar
· Sprig of Mint
· Soda Water
Shake the rum, cassis, sugar, lime juice and mint together with some ice cubes then pour into a tumbler of crushed ice. Top with soda water, pop in a wedge of lime and add a sprig of mint. Delicious.
BRITISH ROYALE
AN ANGLO FRENCH ROMANCE
Serves 2
· 3 – 4 tablespoons of British Cassis
· 374ml Champagne or Prosecco
· Blackcurrants
An elegant and refreshing cocktail to treat that special lady on Mother’s Day. Pop a trio of blackcurrants in a chilled champagne flute and add a generous dash of British Cassis. Then top with your favourite champagne. A simple classic drink to spoil your Mum.
